About us

Old God Tribe was born out of a need to create something we ourselves have been searching for a long time. Not a brand, but a form. Something that carries a power that you can wear — not as an ornament, but as an expression of who you are.

We are three Jacobs and, in addition to our names, we are connected by a relationship with old stories, symbols and values that we want to preserve. Next to Old God Tribe is our tattoo studio Old God Ink, from which a large part of the visual and ideological basis comes from. Working with symbols, myths and archetypes comes naturally to us. Like tattoos, our clothes are not just a motif or a piece of clothing, but a personal decision to be part of a tribe.

We draw inspiration primarily from Norse mythology, nature and ancient symbols. We create for all who walk under the branches of Yggdrasil, hear the whispers of the old gods and believe that the past has never completely disappeared. At the same time, we are aware that Norse symbolism and runes are often abused by ideologies with which we do not identify and against which we clearly define ourselves . Old God Tribe has nothing to do with hatred, superiority or extremism. Our inspiration is based on respect, balance and responsibility.

We create clothes with meaning, with the utmost care for nature and respect for the people who make them. For us, Old God Tribe is not a throwback to the past or a political gesture. It is a contemporary stance of those who feel a connection to something older than themselves — and yet stand firmly in the here and now.
